Derby Schools PFI
Under the Derby Schools PFI project, we delivered five new build replacement schools within various local communities across the City - two secondary schools (one of which is a Foundation School), and three primary schools.
The £37.1 million project included full classroom fit-outs including technical laboratories, IT systems and specialist classrooms as well as indoor sports facilities and external weather pitches.
The project reached financial close with the Council's private sector partner in December 2004; construction work started in January 2005; and all five schools were fully operational by September 2006 - providing state of the art learning environments for some 3000 pupils and staff.
Norwest Holst Support Services will carry out the Facilities Management contract over a period of 25 years in partnership with Derby City Council. Rosser & Russell undertook a £6 million contract to install M&E services.
