VINCI Construction UK and Park Glass Studios restore a 76 year old stained glass window

VINCI Construction UK is rebuilding and refurbishing Notre Dame High School in Sheffield. The refurbishment process includes the removal and restoration of a stained glass window designed by the artist Thomas Earley, in 1935. The window was originally presented to the school by The Sheffield Notre Dame Association.

With over twenty five years’ experience on restoration work on churches and historical buildings, Park Glass Studios are carefully restoring the window to its original appearance. The process is extremely detailed and time-consuming and will be carried out by professional and specialised craft workers.

Mark Harvey, owner and artist at Park Glass Studios - commented:

“The stained glass window holds sentimental value to Notre Dame High school as the art on the window symbolises a religious narrative that reflects the school’s beliefs. It is rewarding to restore something that means so much to the school”.

VINCI Construction UK will complete the £8.6million Notre Dame High School project in February, 2013.
