VINCI Construction UK Awarded Contract to Construct Waste Management Facility in Padworth

Veolia Environmental Services has awarded VINCI Construction UK a contract to construct the Integrated Waste Management Facility at Padworth Sidings in West Berkshire. The facility will provide the district with the infrastructure to process household waste and meet the high recycling and composting targets within Veolia’s contract with West Berkshire Council.

The integrated facility will include an in-vessel composting facility, a materials recovery facility, a waste transfer station, a mini-household waste recycling centre, a vehicle depot and a visitor education centre.

The site is designed to handle approximately 80,000 tonnes of household waste generated in the district each year.
