Salford Aim Higher Event

The Manchester Construction and Built Environment Diploma Consortium in conjunction with Construction Skills, the University of Salford and several construction companies ran the Aim Higher Event at the university in June.

The event was targeted at Year 9 pupils, from six schools across Greater Manchester, to give them a more informed idea of the range of career pathways the construction sector offers and also introduce them to the CBE Diploma.

Site Engineers, Jack English and Colin Street from VINCI Construction UK participated the event by running a site engineering exercise which gave the pupils the opportunity to use measuring equipment to set out a clock face.
